How does FHPS keep children safe online?
EXPAND
FHPS is committed to a safe, secure digital learning environment for all students. We filter and monitor school networks and devices to protect students from harmful content, in compliance with the Children’s Internet Protection Act (CIPA).
We also comply with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), which requires parent/guardian notification and consent before collecting personal information from students under 13 through tools like Google Workspace, Canvas, Clever, and IXL.
All technology use is guided by the FHPS Technology Acceptable Use Policy, part of our board of education policies.
These safeguards are confirmed at enrollment and reaffirmed annually through PowerSchool Annual Verification of Information, keeping family consent current each year.
What's my student's password?

Why is my child's Chromebook filtering content even at home?
EXPAND
