The Michigan Online Educator Certification System (MOECS) allows educators to have access to all of their certification data, apply for certificates and endorsements, and renew their certificates online. To renew your certificate click here.

District Provided Professional Development

Due to a recent reinterpretation of MCL 380.1527, the Office of Professional Preparation is pleased to announce that the group of educators that may use District Provided Professional Preparation Development (DPPD)to renew and advance certain certificate types has expanded. Please review the PDF attachment for more information.

Retiring This Year?

 If you are considering retirement, the State of Michigan Office of Retirement Services (ORS) recommends that you apply online with them at least 3 months before your retirement date. Please see the recommended timeline on the ORS website. Instructions for retirement application can be found here.

Retirement Workshops

 ORS offers retirement workshops at various locations around the state. These workshops are conducted by ORS staff members and are hosted at the different ISDs in Michigan. Please check their Webinars and Seminars page if you are interested in learning more about retirement.
