This fall has brought enthusiasm into the classrooms and sports venues and we are about to sit on the edge of our seats for what is sure to be a phenomenal student performance of Shrek The Musical at the Fine Arts Center. Our September and October Board of Education meetings were packed with recognition of student accomplishments in sports at the highest level and remarkable academic achievements from the past school year. There are so many individual stories of personal accomplishment throughout our district from our students and staff that we really should have a roving reporter interviewing principals, teachers and staff every day. Superintendent Behm told a fantastic success story with data at our October board meeting that bears sharing with our community. What I love about this presentation is it showcases a constellation of data points telling what got us here – our traditions and expectations of excellence – as well as the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead. You can see all three pieces of his presentation at the links below. If you have any difficulty with the links, Superintendent Behm’s presentation can also be seen on our Facebook page. Lastly, we will soon gather at the Forest Hills Public Schools Foundation Gala on November 10 where community members gather to invest in and celebrate excellence in teaching and learning. The story continues…
