If you have a child who will be entering kindergarten in the fall of 2024, make sure you are aware of the following Kindergarten Kickoff events. These events happen at each elementary school, and it is a time for adults to learn more about kindergarten, the enrollment process, and much more! Kindergarten Kickoff is for caregivers and adults only. There will be another event in the fall at each school called Kindergarten Ready, Set, Go! where students will meet their teachers, explore the school, ride a school bus, and meet new friends.
The following are our Kindergarten Kickoff events:
- Ada Elementary: May 7, 6:30-7:30 p.m.
- Ada Vista Elementary: April 25, 6-7:30 p.m.
- Collins Elementary: May 7, 6:00-7:15 p.m.
- Knapp Forest Elementary: May 20, 5-5:45 p.m.
- Meadow Brook Elementary: May 7, 5:30-6:30 p.m.
- Orchard View Elementary, May 2, 6:30-7:30 p.m.
- Pine Ridge Elementary, April 18, 7 -8 p.m.
- Thornapple Elementary, May 8, 6-7 p.m.
If you are unable to make the date, contact your elementary school. If you are uncertain as to which elementary school your child will attend, please call 616-493-8800. Finally, if you haven’t already done so, please let us know your intent to enroll a kindergarten student by completing this online form.
