FHE DECA students competed in the District Conference at GVSU on December 18 and 19. The DECA organization prepares emerging leaders and entrepreneurs for careers in marketing, finance, hospitality, and management. Out of the 33 that competed, 30 qualified to continue on to states. Of those 30 many were also awarded top test score and top role play in their category. In the past years we head home with 4-5 students winning all three awards, this year it was double! Some of these students competed in teams with another, others competed alone in a variety of categories. Our highest scoring role play was Joseph Madder and our highest test score was Jackson Ueland.
