Moving Our Future

March 7, 2022 Posted In: FHPS District News

Helping to move our future can be fun and fulfilling. One Forest Hills Public Schools bus driver Renee Orcutt, has been doing the job for almost 30 years and says she loves the kids, the work schedule, and the freedom of driving. We caught up with her while driving one of her busy routes and she had this to say about the job:

“If you live in the district, what better opportunity to spend some of the day with your kids rather than putting them in daycare. You get to drive them to school everyday. You get to pick them up and take them home everyday. If you have children in this school district, why not?” said Orcutt.

The district is still looking for drivers willing to hit the road, so if you’d like a great job with starting pay of $17.75 for regular routes without experience, a sign on bonus of $1,500 for qualified applicants, and paid training and CDL testing, hop on the bus with Forest Hills and call 616-493-8785.
