Youth in Gorvernment Spring Conference

Congratulations to the Youth in Government students for their participation in the 2025 Spring Conference in Lansing held February 20-23. The students performed excellently. They came home with some awards, and more importantly, they did a fantastic job representing EHS at all levels! 

There were 800+ students at the conference representing high schools throughout Michigan. Aaly Khan and Henry Martin were in the Press Corps, Derek Storrer, Skyler Tabin, and Kasen Wooters participated in the Legislature, Belle Rush and Aaron Karafa were Lobbyists, and Abby Huffman was selected to be a member of the Governor’s Cabinet.

Conference Awards Earned:

Abby Huffman – Early Conference Secretary of State 2026

Belle Rush – Early Conference Head Lobbyist 2026

Kasen Wooters – 2025 Early Conference Brent Versey Outstanding Statesmen Award and 2025 Early Conference Outstanding Committee Chair Red Legislature and Conference On National Affairs (CONA) delegate for the state of Michigan
