EHS Model UN students participated in a four day conference during the first week in December. The Competition required a copious amount of preparation, patience, and paperwork, but it is the most authentic learning experience for students. FHE is graciously appreciative that they were able to participate in GLIMUN. Students respectfully debated and problem solved while using research based ideas. This was both refreshing and inspiring.
The FHE delegates spent four days discussing, negotiating, and making resolutions for topics such as Climate Change and Infectious Disease, Child Marriage, Afghanistan, Right to Peaceful Protest, and Israel-Palestine. They were engaged in discussion, parliamentary procedure, and problem solving, and for a team with mostly first time delegates, they were outstanding.
Please congratulate the following students for receiving …
Honorable Mention – Nanda Murali (USA), Jesse Yang (USA), Jaisal Chopra (Germany), Hope Orban (Nigeria), and Sreejay Ramakrishnan (Mexico)
Best Delegate – Olivia Benedict (DPRK), Nanda Murali, Jesse Yang, and Naman Jain (United States), Palak Rekhani, Reese Bower, and Aayush Sule (Colombia), and Jaisal Chopra, Muskan Rekhani, and Aubry Winczewski (Germany)
It was a long four days, but their energy, engagement, and learning made the conference a glorious success.
