Brittany Brink Elementary Music
Collins and Pine Ridge Elementary
Hello! I am Brittany Brink, the new music teacher this year at Collins and Pine Ridge Elementary! This will be my sixth year teaching music and I cannot wait to meet all of you. I am coming from Belding Area Schools, and while I loved my time there, I am so excited to be in a district that is close to home. I have my bachelor’s and master’s from Lee University and I am a graduate of Hudsonville Public Schools. I was a voice major in college and I also enjoy playing piano and ukulele. When I’m not teaching, I enjoy playing with my niece and nephew, running, riding my bike, and hanging out with my cockatiel Sunny. I can’t wait to inspire kids with you! Looking forward to a great school year!
Lian Robinson
Director of Orchestras
Eastern High/Middle
Lian Robinson graduated from Hope College with a Bachelor’s degree with a major in Music and minors in Communications and Organizational Leadership. After serving as a camp counselor at Camp Geneva, she felt a call to education and to share her love of music. She then completed a Graduate Teaching Certificate program through GVSU. Her main instrument is violin, but enjoys playing cello, mandolin, guitar, and singing. After school and in the summer, you can find Lian spending time with her family and friends in Holland, boating, jet skiing, hiking, biking, and enjoying the outdoors.
Laura (Lonnie) Stanton
Elementary Art
Central Woodlands/Northern Trails
Hello! I’m excited to be joining the staff and students in Forest Hills Public Schools! My name is Lonny Stanton and I will be the new art teacher at Northern Trails and Central Woodlands.
I have had the privilege of being an art educator for the last 17 years. I taught for 8 years in the suburbs of Chicago and 9 years in Rockford Public Schools. I am a graduate of Michigan State University and grew up in the Lansing, MI area.
My husband, Tim, and I have three children, Ben (14 years old), Gabe (13 years old), and Lucy (11 years old). We moved to the Forest Hills area 13 years ago and have enjoyed being part of this great community. As a family, we love to spend time playing sports, camping, and going to our favorite place, Charlevoix, MI! We also have a crazy Boston terrier dog named Breslin that we rescued 5 years ago. I am really looking forward to this school year and joining these two amazing FHPS schools!

Hello All!
My name is Sarah Giannakakos and I am the art teacher at Orchard View Elementary School. I just took over the position 2 weeks ago, and it has been a blast so far. My husband and I moved to Michigan about a year ago, but before that, I lived (and grew up) in Fort Collins, Colorado. I have an elementary education degree from the University of Northern Colorado. I do not have an art degree, but I am doing my absolute best to teach elementary art this year. I can’t wait to meet you all!
