After months of nurturing and observing aquatic class pets, 4th graders at Collins Elementary released 82 salmon into the Grand River. Starting with 150 eggs, the students raised and studied the changes in the salmon’s appearance over time. The salmon project helps students learn about the life cycle of salmon, while teaching them how to be good stewards of the environment.
