Student Artists Share Joy Through “Project Art Box”
Many FHPS students have contributed artwork as part of a Grand Rapids project called “Project Art Box.” Students create drawings, pictures, paintings, and more, drop their artwork in a box at school, the art is collected and then distributed to area residents in nursing homes. Recently three FHPS students were honored by Grand Rapids Mayor Rosalynn Bliss for their contributions to the project and sharing joy with area residents. Ada Elementary School student, Alden, and two students from Knapp Forest, Chloe and Meg, visited with the mayor, received certificates of appreciation for their work, toured the mayor’s office, and were interviewed by WZZM13.
