On Dec. 15, 2020, Superintendent Behm shared a letter with families regarding the schedule following winter break. School resumes, Monday, Jan. 4, 2021, and the schedule is as follows:

The week of January 4 – 8, 2021:

• High schools (grades 9-12)—remote learning
• Middle schools (grades 7-8)—hybrid model
• Elementary schools (kindergarten through grade 6)—in-person

The week of January 11 – 15, 2021:

• High schools (grades 9-12)—hybrid model
• Middle schools (grades 7-8)—hybrid model
• Elementary schools (kindergarten through grade 6)—in-person

Please note, that this is our schedule as of right now, and we are hopeful that it will remain. We will look at the case data and positivity rates (these are the metrics used in the KCHD framework) in early January to help determine what our instructional operations will be for the week of January 18, 2021, and beyond.
