Story by School News Network – Sixth-grade Knapp Forest Elementary students finished up their school year by creating environmental videos in partnership with Groundswell Michigan. According to teachers Christen Topolinski and Cortney Kittridge-Cook, “We’d done the invasive species pulls, and we’d done the butterfly garden. We were looking for something new that students would really get into.” This video project was it! These students’ videos are simply amazing. From the impact of plastic straws, to the Flint water crisis, harmful pesticides and more, these students’ videos bring to light important environmental issues.
