Forest Hills survived the February polar vortex, and then the freezing rain and power outages when the governor declared a state of emergency for Grand Rapids. Then this week, the snow came back with a vengeance once more. But hang on. There still is a lot of winter left. Recently, while students and staff had days off because of the weather, “The Central Trend” was able to catch up with Superintendent Dan Behm about what all of these snow days mean for the district. At the time the article was written, FHPS had accumulated 10 snow days. Presently, schools have been closed for 12 days due to inclement weather.
