Forest Hills Public Schools is joining 538 local and 56 intermediate school districts across Michigan to celebrate January as School Board Recognition Month. School board members spend countless hours of unpaid time working to provide what is best for students and education. Board members represent the best in servant leadership and volunteer hundreds of hours each year as they represent their fellow citizens’ views and priorities in the complex task of setting policy, approving budgets and curriculum, and much more. Too often the efforts of school board members go unrecognized. While January is a month set aside to recognize school board members, we know that their contributions to our schools and our Forest Hills community reflect their commitment to education 365 days a year. Thank you to the following individuals who serve on our school board: Mary Vonck, Martha Atwater, Suzanne Callahan, Walter F. Perschbacher III, Kristen Covelle, Nicole Meloche-Gregory, and Michael Seekell.
