During the summer, FHPS updated its safety and security measures to school building entrances. The main entrances to our schools have been enhanced with electronic door locking and unlocking systems and a video buzz-in system. During the school day, visitors will find the interior vestibule doors and the door to the main office locked. Visitors will be granted access to the main office through an electronic unlocking system after being identified by office personnel. To understand and learn more about the new security measures, watch our district interview with FOX17 online, or WOODTV8.
As a result of the new access system, we are implementing a new visitor protocol at all of our school facilities beginning with the 2018-2019 school year.

During the school day, all visitors will be expected to press a button (a sign will point visitors to the button) inside the vestibule to request access to the main office. Office staff will be able to see visitors on a video monitor. Visitors may be asked the following prior to being let into the office: state your name and purpose for your visit and show identification.
-
Please do not allow anyone to pass through the door to the main office with you unless they have received clearance from the office staff. While this may seem impolite, it is necessary to ensure all visitors are authorized to enter.

Visitors will be required to sign-in and obtain a visitor’s pass prior to being allowed access to the remainder of the building.
