Circle of Support was created by the FHPS team for the Awareness, Acceptance, and Advocacy of Mental Health which works with school counselors and other area professionals to bring educational forums and discussions to the community on a variety of mental health topics. The Circle of Support group meets the third Thursday of the month, and will be hosting its monthly meeting March 16. This month’s topic will focus on eating disorders and self-harm. Circle of Support helps parents and adults find support as they share with each other the challenges of raising a child with a mental health diagnosis or a child with similar symptoms. A school counselor leads and facilitates these meetings. Circle of Support meets at St. Robert’s Church (the group is not affiliated with any religious organization), located at 6477 Ada Dr., Ada, in room #204 on the second floor. Come into the building at entrance “F.” For more information about these group meetings, please email AAA at: AAACOS.FHPS@gmail.com, or contact your child’s school counselor.
