Families are invited to attend STEAM Night, showcasing hands-on activities and learning opportunities in the areas of science, technology, engineering, art, and math. The next event is Thursday, Feb. 16, from 6-8 p.m. at Central Woodlands 5/6 School. There will be over 20 stations where attendees can experience fun, engaging activities. Attendees can see drones in flight, 3D printers, an augmented reality sandbox, Ozobots, and Spheros. They can build trebuchets, experience a Breakout EDU game, construct furniture out of cardboard, and make ice cream. Thursday night there will also be a “live build” of an interactive piano floor. Participants can watch or jump in and help build out the next few chords of the floor piano. The Forest Hills Public Schools Foundation will host a coffee and hot chocolate concession area. Attendees will also have the opportunity to purchase a FHPS Google Cardboard VR viewer.
