Welcome to Pine Ridge Elementary School!
Our most frequent phone call is about lunch times so it is now posted here so it is very easily found. Recess is always prior to lunch.
Welcome to Pine Ridge Elementary School located within the Forest Hills School District, one of our Nation’s great public school systems! This summer we have been busy working on a new website which we are pleased to unveil to you.
We invite you to explore our new site and learn more about the district and what makes Pine Ridge so unique. The new site offers many exciting facts, figures, features and new functionality: A new Interactive Google Calendar for both the District and our school, thus enabling you to add either calendar to your other calendars; School Directories are now embedded Google Docs making it easy for you to access information; Search functionality; new Google Maps enable you to get walking, biking and driving directions to school with real-time traffic updates; Local Weather Forecasts; District-wide and school specific news updates; many news updates made in real time by members of our teaching staff; compatibility with all browsers-iPads, iPhones, and most Smart Phone devices; and a Twitter News Alert System which will enable you to receive school closing and delay news to your favorite mobile device.
We hope you find this website to be a useful resource for information – whether you are a prospective family, parent, student, or a community stakeholder. Like all websites, you will be able to find lots of information, interesting news and facts, and helpful tools. However, even with the best modern technology has to offer, sometimes there is no substitute for a human connection. We invite you to visit our main office, email us, or contact our main office number at (616) 493-8910 where we will be happy to help you.
Thank you for your interest in and your support of Pine Ridge Elementary School.

Please join us Monday, Nov. 30, at 7 p.m., at the Fine Arts Center for a free community event featuring Nancy Colflesh, Ph.D. She will discuss ways in which people can successfully navigate all kinds of changes in their lives. Following her presentation, there will be smaller breakout sessions covering topics such as: grief and death; divorce and family changes; health challenges; peer breakups and friendships; and empty nesters and identity changes. The event is organized by the Forest Hills Public Schools parent group for the Awareness, Acceptance and Advocacy of Mental Health, and is underwritten by a grant from the Forest Hills Public Schools Foundation.
