Welcome to Pine Ridge Elementary School!

2015-2016 Supply List

2015-2016 FHPS District Calendar

Welcome to Pine Ridge Elementary School located within the Forest Hills School District, one of our Nation’s great public school systems!  This summer we have been busy working on a new website which we are pleased to unveil to you.

We invite you to explore our new site and learn more about the district and what makes Pine Ridge so unique. The new site offers many exciting facts, figures, features and new functionality: A new Interactive Google Calendar for both the District and our school, thus enabling you to add either calendar to your other calendars; School Directories are now embedded Google Docs making it easy for you to access information; Search functionality; new Google Maps enable you to get walking, biking and driving directions to school with real-time traffic updates; Local Weather Forecasts; District-wide and school specific news updates; many news updates made in real time by members of our teaching staff; compatibility with all browsers-iPads, iPhones, and most Smart Phone devices; and a Twitter News Alert System which will enable you to receive  school closing and delay news to your favorite mobile device.

We hope you find this website to be a useful resource for information – whether you are a prospective family, parent, student, or a community stakeholder.  Like all websites, you will be able to find lots of information, interesting news and facts, and helpful tools.  However, even with the best modern technology has to offer, sometimes there is no substitute for a human connection.  We invite you to visit our main officeemail us, or contact our main office number at (616) 493-8910 where we will be happy to help you.

Thank you for your interest in and your support of Pine Ridge Elementary School.

2015-2016 School Calendar Updated

September 15, 2015 @ 12:54 pmPosted in: District News, News

The 2015-2016 school calendar for Forest Hills Public Schools has changed to reflect a recent announcement made by the Michigan Department of Education. Although the change directly impacts our high school students, we wanted all of our families to know of the change and to make sure families have the most accurate copy of the school calendar. No longer is April 12, 2016, a state test day only for 11th-grade students. It is now a state test day for 9th- and 10th-grade students. April 12, 2016, is a full day for all students in all grades except 12th-grade. On this day, the SAT will be given to 11th-graders, and the PSAT will be given to 9th- and 10th-graders.  If you have any questions, please contact your school.  For an updated school calendar, click here.

Volunteer Opportunities

September 11, 2015 @ 2:11 pmPosted in: News
As you are hopefully aware, the PTO is NOT using the printed Volunteer Coupon Booklet this year.  We are trying the green approach and using a Sign Up Genius  (SUG) site instead.  Many hours were spent this summer preparing it and transferring all of the information we need into the site.    Sign Up Here
The Ranger Rally is fast approaching and help is needed!  Rally Sign Up Here
