Lunch Debit Card Balances
LUNCH DEBIT CARD END OF YEAR INFORMATION
In years past, when the school year ended, many students owed money for
overcharges on their debit card account. The school district cannot carry
negative balances over the summer.
To avoid this situation, after May 1,2012 students will only be allowed to use their debit cards if there is enough in their account to cover the full amount of their purchase. Otherwise, they will be given a cold cheese sandwich meal. Money still in the account at the end of the school year is carried over to the next year, except for students leaving the district and graduates. You may request a refund for any remaining funds by submitting a letter requesting the refund to the district’s Food Service Department, or have the money transferred to a sibling’s account (by request only).

Please keep a sufficient balance in your child’s account to cover his/her lunches through the end of the school year. Your help with this policy is greatly appreciated.
