Welcome to our Kindergarten Kids Care Program!

The Forest Hills Child Care Program served over 700 children during the 2010-2011 school year at all eight of our elementary schools and our two 5/6 buildings. We also enrolled over one hundred children in our Traditional and Spanish Immersion Preschools.  Our goal is to continue providing quality care and learning for more families each year.

We pride ourselves in offering one of the best programs in the area due to the quality of the staff at each of our child care sites. All of our directors and Kindergarten Kids Care leaders are highly qualified–many of whom have their teaching degree or their child care endorsement which enables them to professionally run safe, warm, fun, organized programs. Their dedication to the children they work with is very obvious when you watch them interact with their kids on a daily basis. They continue to learn and improve their programs through various methods of training during the school year.

The aides that assist our directors and Kids Care leaders are also experienced, dedicated staff. The fact that we are competitively priced with other programs in our area, provide flexibility in enrollment schedules, and are able to hold our programs right in a child’s home school also contribute to the popularity of the program for our families.

Kindergarten Program Overview:

A full- and half-day, fee-based Kindergarten Kids Care program is available for all kindergartners, Young 5′s, and preschool children who are four-years-old by December 1, 2011, right at your child’s home school.  Flexible scheduling allows you to customize the number of days you need. This fun kindergarten program supports social skills and focuses on learning through creative play. There are many opportunities for children to express their creative abilities through crafts, projects and games. A one, half-day per week minimum enrollment is required for at least a two-month duration.

Non-School Days:

Registration in any of our child care programs guarantees full- or half-day child care on inclement weather and scheduled non-school days.  Preregistration is required for when care is needed on scheduled nonschool days. Four-year-old children attending full- or half-day nonschool days may not participate in field trips that require riding the bus, but may remain at the site, if there is a stay-back option.  Please call the Child Care Office at 493-8787 for more information and availability. Click here for 2011-2012 child care rates.
