The program is designed to develop substantial relationships between area communities and their Symphony Orchestra via the schools, and significantly impact students’, teachers’ and parents’ awareness of music and the role music can play in their lives. Each grade is given the opportunity to participate in at least two daytime Symphony events every year, with at least one of those events taking place in the school.
Mission Statement:
In partnership with our community, Forest Hills Public Schools will provide all learners with opportunities to acquire the knowledge, skills, and experience necessary to build meaningful and productive lives.
School Color:
Crimson/Black
Sister School:
Lincoln School in the Grand Rapids Public School District is our sister school. Our PTO School Committee will coordinate joint projects with the students and teachers at Lincoln throughout the school year.
Parent/Student Handbook:
Forest Hills Public Schools publishes an Elementary School Parent/Student Handbook that is used by all eight of the district’s elementary schools. It outlines the policies and procedures for a variety of topics such as attendance, medications, bus rules, field trips, etc.
You can download a copy of the handbook and playground rules to view and print.
