MEAP Testing:
The Michigan Educational Assessment Program, commonly referred to as the MEAP tests, have been administered to 7th and 8th grade students between October 14th to October 23rd.. This year 7th graders took the English Language Arts and Math MEAP tests and 8th graders took MEAP tests in three areas: Math, English and Science.
The MEAP tests are demanding and require students to use higher-level thinking to apply their content knowledge. Teachers will be discussing “test-taking reminders” with their students to help them achieve their best. Parents, the two weeks of testing can be exhausting for students. We understand the magnitude of the testing situation, and hope to make the experience as positive as it can be for your child. If you have questions or concerns regarding the testing schedule, please contact Doreen Barnes, Learning Consultant at CMS.
