Please contact the Ada Elementary School office, 493-8940, if your child(ren) will not be returning to Ada in the fall. This information will help us plan more accurately for next year.

Talent Show Tryouts

Students who would like to participate in Ada Elementary’s Talent Show should attend the Talent Show Tryouts on Wednesday, May 8, from 3:50-5 p.m. Please plan to pick up your child immediately after tryouts. Parents, please remember that all music and dance moves should be school appropriate. Thank you for helping us ensure that this event is fun for all ages.

ECSE Parent Tea

Parents of our ECSE students are invited to school for tea on Friday, May 10. Morning students will enjoy this event at 10:45 a.m., and afternoon students at 2:45 p.m.

Brainstormers

On Tuesday, May 14, the Brainstormers will return to Ada Elementary to perform up to five students’ stories at 1 p.m. in our gym. Students worked hard to create a story that included a title, characters, a problem, events, and a solution. Whose story will they perform? We’ll have to wait and see!

Volunteer Appreciation Luncheon

Are you among our fabulous school volunteers? Then we want you to attend our Volunteer Luncheon as a way to say “THANKS” for all you do! Our luncheon is scheduled for Wednesday, May 15, from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. in the Media Center. Come and enjoy a variety of salads, appetizers, and desserts.  Thank you for all you have done to make this school year remarkable.

Kindergarten Fine Arts Night

Come spend a delightful evening with your kindergartner and enjoy the fine arts. Children will sing songs, explore rhythm, and create a wind chime. Our evening will begin at 6 p.m. on May 16, and children will rotate through the activities. See you then!

Field Day

Check out our Field Day schedule. These events are great fun for all!

This is a sure sign that we are approaching the end of the school year!

Talent Show

Please plan to attend our Talent Show on Wednesday, June 5 from 9:15-11:30 a.m. and watch students in grades 1-4 show off their many talents. We think you will be impressed with the singing, dancing, and group acts that you see!

Awards Assembly

Our Awards Assembly is a time to celebrate the many accomplishments of our students. Our fourth grade students will be recognized at this assembly, since this is their last year at Ada Elementary. You won’t want to miss this event that is scheduled for Thursday, June 6, at 9:15 a.m.

Lost and Found

Are you looking for a stray coat, hat, mitten, boot, shoe, lunchbox or other item? Please visit our Lost and Found to locate your child’s missing item. Items that are not picked up by June 7 will be donated to one of our charities.

GATOR Recycling

Don’t forget…you can still recycle paper in our paper GATOR, located in the East parking lot. All proceeds are used to purchase items for Ada Elementary students!

Kindergarten Kids Care

Full- and half-day, fee-based Kindergarten Kids Care is available for children during the school day between the hours of 8:40 a.m and 3:45 p.m. Flexible scheduling allows you to select the number of days you need. This program is offered at all elementary sites (with sufficient enrollment), and is open to preschoolers and children who will be four-years-old by November 1, if space is available. Please call Schools Plus, at 493-8787 for current fees, availability, and information on programs.

Child Care

Fee-based before school and/or after school child care is available for children who turn four-year-old by November 1. Child care is held at Ada Elementary and is open from 6:45-8:40 a.m., and from 3:45-6:15 p.m. Registration in any child care program guarantees full- or half-day child care, if needed, on non-school days. Please call Schools Plus, at 493-8787 for current fees, availability, and information on programs.
