Enrollment Requirements
Welcome to Forest Hills Public Schools. As a parent/guardian of a new or transfer student, we hope your transition is a smooth and positive experience. With your help we plan to maintain a safe and healthy environment for your child to learn and grow.
Our strong community is our strength–and our strong relationships with our district residents, businesses and organizations add to the excellence of our District. We welcome you to be a part of the Forest Hills community!
In order to enroll your child(ren), we will need the following:
1. Proof of residency in Forest Hills Public Schools (e.g., buy/sell agreement, rental agreement, utility bill)
2. Original birth certificate (raised seal)
3. Court papers allocating parental rights and responsibilities, or custody (if appropriate)
4.

5. Copy of most recent report card and/or high school transcript, if applicable
FHPS Feeder Schools Overview
Forest Hills Public School students attend the middle and high schools that are located in their elementary school’s geographic area.
The following elementary schools feed into Central Middle then Central High School:
• Ada Elementary
• Pine Ridge Elementary
• Thornapple Elementary
• Central Woodlands 5/6
The following elementary schools feed into Eastern Middle then Eastern High School:
• Knapp Forest Elementary
• Orchard View
The following elementary schools feed into Northern Middle then Northern High School:
• Collins Elementary
• Meadow Brook Elementary
• Northern Trails 5/6
Ada Vista (Spanish Immersion for grades K-4) and Goodwillie Environmental School (Grades 5/6) are invited to make applications to these schools for incoming kindergartners. Students are selected through a random lottery process.
Alternative Pathways High School is for students who have returned to high school to get either their diploma or GED. The Transition Center is for students requiring a transition.
